Enjoy 20 bright-colored nylon banners hung outdoors in the HSMG fountain court, in keeping with the custom of flying flags and banners at national celebrations. Chaim Gross, Allan D'Arcangelo, Romare Bearden, Milton Glaser and Marisol are among the artists whose banners can be seen.

The banners were produced as part of a project initiated by the Chuck Levitan Gallery of New York. (An indoor version is being circulated by Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.)
