View about 90 objects from China, Japan, India and the Near East that offer the visitor a contrast in modes of expression to those of the New World. Taken from the Freer collections are examples from the period of the Chinese Emperor Ch'ien-lung, the Japanese Edo period, the Mughal period of India and the Iranin Safavid and Turkish Ottoman periods in the Near East.
