- Margheritta and Edward Allardice, friends of the artist, commissioned him to design their wedding bands, a specialty of the artist in the 1960s and 1970s. All of Philip Fike’s rings come apart and reassemble in only one way. This ring is actually three separate bands, which when worn together form the ring’s distinctive design.
