- Banjo player and music scholar Tony Seeger, nephew of the late Pete Seeger, performed at the 2014 Smithsonian Folklife Festival's Ralph Rinzler Memorial Concert: Smithsonian Folkways Tribute to Pete Seeger, Citizen Artist. He closed the evening with a medley of folksongs "If I Had a Hammer" (included on the 1961 Folkways release 'Sing Out With Pete!') and "This Land Is Your Land," during which he invited the evening's cast of Kenyan and American performers onstage for a powerful audience sing-a-long.
