- A hallway in the Smithsonian Institution Building, "Castle." On the right, next to the stairs, is a small writing desk and chair. A painting is hung on the wall leading up the way of the stairs. On the far left, is chair with a clock hung above it. In the center of the photograph, down the hall is a spittoon situated on a small rug, and across from it, is a small desk with two chairs. Further still down the hall are two suits of Japanese armor, and a large globe beyond them at the end of the hall.
