- Description (Brief)
- Pennant representing Harvard University is red with white lettering and the school seal. Harvard has maintained a high standard of athletic success, as of 2013 the school fielded 42 Division I varsity sports, more than any other school in the country. Harvard like most Ivy League schools, does not offer athletic scholarships. Harvard, which is known for their intense rivalry with Yale University, joins forces with the Yale Bulldogs once a year to compete against Oxford and Cambridge. The event is held biennially in a rotating venue. The competition is the oldest continuous international amateur athletic competition. The meet stretches back to 1899 and predates the modern Olympics.
