- Description
- Western Electric / NBC suspension carbon radio microphone. Carbon microphone suspended by springs or elastics in metallic ring to prevent vibrations of microphone stand from reaching the instrument, and to eliminate interference of the various earlier containers. Used 1925 to 1938. Carbon microphone suspended on rubber springs in a nickeled ring on short stand and base. Loose nameplate NBC. Marked on microphone "H" on stand "J. R. Palmenbergs sons."
