- Horizontal rectangle. Second state. At center, a ship surrounded by sea monsters; on its decks are men and many bells. In the background are two similar ships. In a choppy sea. Near right bottom corner: "Joan. Stradanus invent. / Joan. Galle. excud." Bottom margin: "Nauita Erythraeum panidus qui navigat aequor / In prorae et puppis summo resonantia pendet / Tintinabula: eo sonitu praegrandia late, Balenas et Monstra marina à navibus arcet." "6."
