- Description
- Thrown globular body (a), tapered at top and bottom, with small circular base. Applied short tapered spout and two loops for handle. Cover (b) with deep flange; porcelain finial held with brass rivet; secured underside with porcelain button. High curved bamboo handle inserted through ceramic loops at front and back of pot; handle wrapped in pink, yellow, and black fabric (fabric handle designed by Bente Sægtrang, in collaboration with artist). Exterior body of teapot and cover glazed with flat ash-glazed borax glaze with cobalt to produce deep rich mat blue. Interior of pot and cover glazed with white gloss.
