- Collector's notes: "The women of southeast Arabia are said to wear these dresses at their weddings. Contrary to our customs, the bride would continue to wear her dress after her marriage. The dresses are full and would allow for use after the bride became pregnant. This [type of] dress is not used in the Eastern Province." - Embroidered black velveteen dress. 3/4 length sleeves, full skirt, round neck with slit down front. Bright orange chain stitch embroidery along most seams. Yellow, orange, red, green, and white dense embroidery (lines, loops, and circles) down center-front and arms. Center front and center back lined with striped cotton fabric.
