Romper Room School diploma
Object Details
- Description
- This Romper Room School diploma certifies that the donor, John Malloy, attended the Romper Room Television Kindergarten.
- After its origins on local television in Baltimore in 1953, Romper Room was soon franchised throughout the country. Its unique "local live syndication" gave the program local flavor by allowing tele-teachers in each city to lead their own studio class and home audience through identical activities and stories designed to introduce preschoolers to the classroom.
