The miniature Italian Order of Merit; a white enameled cross with gold eagles in each quadrant and gold five point star in the center of the cross; medal suspended from a gold crown in the shape of a castle, in turn suspended from blue green ribbon with red vertical stripes.
Summary
The Italian Order of Merit was awarded to American aviators who trained in Foggia Italy during World War I.
