- The ichroma Reader is a portable fluorescence scanning instrument for measuring the concentration of target analytes in human blood. The device includes a box of individual test cartridges for the quantitative test of the hormone cortisol. Cortisol levels are measured in order to detect problems with the functioning of the adrenal glands or pituitary gland.
