- Description
- A singerie, a work from the visual arts genre characterized by depictions of monkeys imitating human behavior, often fashionably attired. A female monkey is depicted in Rococo dress, consisting of a blue and white gown, a fluffy white hat with feathers, and a pink muff which she holds in front of her. She is sitting in the center of the composition against a peach-colored background, resting on a portion of a blue frame with pink floral garlands beneath her.
