Airbus IMAX® Theater

A Group consists of ten (10) or more people for any IMAX or Planetarium show.  All groups will receive one (1) complimentary ticket per every twenty purchased (excluding bulk voucher purchases).  All groups will be charged a one-time processing fee of $6.00 per order.  Payment must be received in Full no less than one (1) week prior to the group’s arrival.
IMAX and Planetarium On-Demand
View a special morning screening of your favorite IMAX film or Planetarium show at Smithsonian Theaters. IMAX/Planetarium On-Demand screenings are offered for groups of 50 or more every morning at 9:30 am. Minimum one week notice required to book, dates and choice of film/show are subject to availability.

Ride and Interactive Flight Simulators

Ride Simulators*:
SpaceWalk 2004 3D features an orbital journey around the 16 nation International Space Station (ISS).
Wings allows visitors to ride on a variety of history's greatest flying machines -- from the Sopwith Camel to the F-5 Tiger.

Cosmic Coaster takes riders on a dazzling futuristic journey through the cosmos.
Interactive Flight Simulators**:
Fly jet-age combat sorties in simulators that let you control the action and perform 360-degree barrel rolls! Try your skills at air-to-air combat in an F-4 Phantom II jet fighter.

Important Information for Simulator Riders:
*Riders must be 42 inches tall for Ride Simulator unless accompanied by an adult.
**Riders must be 48 inches tall to ride Interactive Flight Simulators.
All simulators are full motion rides so people with back, neck, or heart trouble or those who are pregnant should not ride.

McDonald’s 1:  Choice of Big Mac®, Filet-O-Fish®, Double Cheeseburger, or 6-Piece Chicken McNuggets® with medium fries, 21 oz. soft drink and McDonald’s cookies.

McDonald’s 2:  Choice of Crispy or Grilled McDonald’s Salad with 21 oz. soft drink and McDonald’s cookies.

McDonald’s 3:  (Smithsonian Kid’s Meal) Smithsonian Kid’s Meal to include choice of hamburger, cheeseburger, or 4-pc Chicken McNuggets® with small fries, soft drink and exclusive Smithsonian toy.

Outreach Movie and a Meal: hamburger with small fries, soft drink and exclusive Smithsonian toy. *Title One Schools Only * Only valid when purchased with an Outreach IMAX movie.
