Performance Cusine Lecture Play Ball with the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park
Baseball Event, with buffet and game
Before the game starts, join some of the Nationals' key personnel -- both players and management -- in a behind-the-scenes discussion about the team. Then feast on baseball fare before the game starts to watch the Nats play the Cincinnati Reds. Note: Game ticket will be mailed approximately two weeks before game day and must be brought to the stadium for admittance.

(for ages 7-12) How do you hold an artist's palette? Does bronze feel grainy or silky, warm or cool? Try hands-on activities at four interactive carts to find out and to explore such subjects as sculpture and folk art.

Gallery Tour Series
Join Dr. Jason Freitag (professor of history, Ithaca College) on this tour of the exhibition MURAQQA' as he discusses the historical and global perspective on Sufism and its role in Mughal culture, society, and politics. Participants also learn about the tradition of shrouding and its relationship to the cosmos.

Film The Postmodern Life of My Aunt
13th Annual Made in Hong Kong Film Festival
(2006, 111 min., Mandarin with English subtitles, directed by Ann Hui) Based on a popular novel by Yan Yan, this film mixes comedy and poignancy in a tale of a sixty-something woman who lives alone in Shanghai and is trying to cope with both financial woes and the impersonal city around her. Chow Yun-fat adds to the film's charm by playing a smarmy con man.

Washington D.C.'s First Art Museum Lecture Series
The Renwick Gallery has been a showcase for contemporary crafts and decorative arts since 1972, but the landmark building has an intriguing history of its own. Today, architect Judith Capen reveals some of the Gallery's secrets hidden by time and discovered through recent surveys of the building.
