Man Made: African-American Men and Quilting Traditions

On view are some 50 quilts by 15 African American men from across the country whose works range from traditional to contemporary. Quilts include one historic quilt made by a slave known as "Yellow Bill," signed and dated March 5, 1852, which was made by Yellow Bill as a wedding present for his master's bride. Quilters represented include David Driskell and Raymond Dobard.
