A Prairie Plant Discovery Trail provides a close-up view of such plant specimens as big bluestem, bergamot, yarrow, blazing star, coneflower, and tickweed. Interpretive areas include more than 400 photographs and illustrations, bronze sculptures of prairie dogs, a life-size bison cut from steel, and 43 bas-relief sculptures of prairie plants.
