The Lockheed Martin IMAX® will be closed January 11th through early March to upgrade to IMAX with Laser digital projection. Click here to learn more about IMAX with Laser.

The Smithsonian's 3 IMAX® theaters have the largest screens in the Washington, DC region and measure up to 6 stories tall! Our giant-screen films offer an immersive experience that complements the museum exhibits.

The Planetarium's 77-foot digital dome theater is the only full-dome cinema in DC. Audiences can journey through time and space to view some of the most extraordinary images not viewable to the naked eye.

Attention Star Wars Fans! Star Wars: The Force Awakens tickets are still available for the National Air and Space Museum and Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.
